The SAFERâ„¢ System is a program designed by Dr. R.H. Flemmer specifically to meet the needs of corporations throughout the world. The Mentally Active SAFERâ„¢ System is not only a Strategic Based system, but is also a Behavior Based system that incorporates the knowledge that regardless of anyone's driving skills, some days we are better drivers then others. The SAFERâ„¢ system takes core strategic defensive driving concepts and incorporates key research about Adult Learning theory, Change theory and Modern Defensive Driving theory to create a system that focuses on driver behavior and attitudes.

While driving, individuals constantly shift through three levels of awareness. Ideally, we would like all drivers to stay in the middle, in a Mentally Active/Proactive state of awareness. This is not realistically possible. The SAFERâ„¢ System is designed to acknowledge this and help drivers identify when they have drifted away from the center and provide strategies to move them back to the center towards Active Driver Awareness.

Through the use of the "mobile classroom", Fleet Safety International can provide full multi-media classroom presentations to virtually any location required.

In numerous programs, Students receive in-vehicle training designed to teach and reinforce good defensive driving skills. Driver Assessments are conducted using the Fleet Safety International 63 Point Driver Assessment form which provides positive, constructive feedback to both the student and the sponsoring corporation.
An exciting, and very popular feature of Fleet Safety International's services are the Fleet Safety International specially designed Skid Vehicles. Fleet Safety International has 5 custom designed skid vehicles that have the capability of teaching skid recovery techniques almost any where and at any time of year. Our latest skid vehicle also has front left and right tire blow out simulators! These vehicles teach our students to control skids in a safe, controlled and positive environment that allows for maximum driver learning and retention.
